Plan Before you go
Booking Alarm
Popular tickets open at a set time in Korea. Find out what that is where you live, and add a reminder so you don't miss it.

Korea
Downloads a calendar file (.ics) with an alert 15 minutes before. It works with Google Calendar, Apple Calendar and Outlook.
The booking rules we use
- Changdeokgung Secret Garden (Huwon): half the places go on sale online at 10:00 Korea time, six days before your visit, and half at the palace from 9:00 on the day. Spring and autumn slots sell out fast. The palace is closed on Mondays. See Seoul in 5 days.
- KTX: tickets go on sale at 07:00 Korea time. KORAIL's English pages mention both one and two months ahead. See Seoul to Busan by train.
Korea is on UTC+9 all year, with no daylight saving. Rules checked October 2026; always confirm on the official booking site.
Questions people ask
Does the alarm book tickets for me?
No. It tells you when tickets go on sale and adds a reminder to your calendar 15 minutes before. You still book on the official website or at the venue.
Why is the KTX opening date uncertain?
KORAIL's own English pages mention both one month and two months before travel. Setting a reminder for the earlier date means you will not miss the opening either way.
How do I add the reminder to my calendar?
Tap "Add a calendar reminder" to download a small .ics file, then open it. On iPhone and Mac it opens in Apple Calendar; on Android you can open it with Google Calendar; on a computer you can import it into Google Calendar or Outlook. The event is set in universal time, so it shows at the right local time wherever you are.
What if I am travelling over Seollal or Chuseok?
Trains and popular sights are busiest during these holidays, and KTX seats can go within minutes of opening. Be ready at the exact opening time, and check our Open or Closed? helper for closures on your dates.
